The American wood industry is on the brink of collapse.
As it has for decades, the plywood industry has been in decline.
But this time, a new industry has emerged, and it’s using a different method of manufacturing the high-quality, durable and affordable material.
“We can’t make plywood,” said Doug Bechtel, a wood product manufacturer based in Washington state.
“We have to cut it up.”
It’s a process called gluing.
Unlike other woodworking techniques, the glue process requires the removal of a material from a material called a substrate, which is usually the floor or a wall.
The material is then glued to the substrate, forming the wall.
Once the wall is glued, it’s then cut into individual pieces and shipped to a supplier who then ships the finished products.
Bechtel says his company, BECO, has a factory in Washington State that is the only one that uses a method called the “double gluing” method.
The company says the double gluing process uses an “inverted” saw, and the process can take up to an hour.
“You don’t have to have a whole bunch of people doing it,” Bechtels brother, Robert, said.
“The process is not complicated, it takes a few hours,” he added.
“In fact, there are people in the office, who will take a couple of hours,” Beechels brother added.BECO said its process is environmentally friendly and does not use pesticides, and they have been in business for a few years.
The Washington Post contacted both companies for comment but neither responded.
But, the industry’s collapse has been caused in large part by government policies.
The Federal Trade Commission, which regulates the industry, has imposed stricter rules on the process.
The industry has faced lawsuits and even boycotts from businesses that want to avoid using wood products.
“There’s a real disconnect between the needs of the industry and the needs for the American people,” Bechamels brother said.
The collapse of the lumber industry has also hurt jobs and wages for workers.
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, more than 6,000 people lost their jobs during the lumber downturn, while more than 3,000 workers were laid off during the recession.
The U.K. government also has been pushing for more competition in the industry.
In the meantime, the federal government has been funding research to develop a new woodworking method.
The government’s National Institute of Standards and Technology is funding a pilot project to make plywoods more durable and less expensive to make.
In Washington state, the Department of Energy is also working on a new process called “stretchable fiberglass,” which is based on the gluing technique and is expected to be ready for use by 2018.
